Watch the children swim and enjoy the variety of shore birds along the sandy beach. Do some night fishing from the lighted fishing pier. Enjoy short easy excursions to the Piney Point Maritime and Lighthouse museums. Naval Air museum and the Calvert marine museum are a 30 to 45 minute drive. Far from the maddening crowds and congested highway's of larger resort areas.

DC & NORTHERN VA 95 to Woodrow Wilson Bridge take the 1st exit Indian Head Hwy. south go10.5 mi. Then left on Rt. 228 Berry Rd. Go 8 mi. to Waldorf. Go straight accross 301 to south on Rt.5. Go 17 mi Rt.5 will turn to the right you continue straight on Rt. 235 for15 mi turn Right on Rt.4 go 6 mi. Turn Left on Rt.5 Go 6 mi. Turn Right on Rt.249 at CALLAWAY (See 249 at CALLAWAY below) RICHMOND 95-N. to 301-N. Cross Potomac River bridge to Maryland go 4 mi to Rt.234 -S. Go 15mi. Merge into Rt.5 to Leonardtown continue on Rt.5 for 8mi turn Right on Rt.249 South for 8 mi. you will cross a bridge onto St. George Island go 1.5 mile turn right on Thomas Rd. Go 1 mile turn Right on Camp Merryelande Rd. straight to end.
