Getting To and Around Northstar |
By road: Shuttles run from almost every hotel to major ski resorts around Tahoe city. Sierra Nevada Gray Lines runs one ski shuttle everyday between Reno and Northstar-at-Tahoe. So, you can check for schedules on arrival. If you are driving from Reno, you should head West on Interstate 80 and take the turnoff for Highway 89 to reach Northstar.
By air: Reno-Tahoe International Airport which lies at a distance of 38 miles from Northstar has more than 100 flights daily from various parts of the country. Other airports are Sacramento Airport (1 hour and 45 minutes away), San Francisco Airport (3 1/2 hours away), and Oakland Airport (3 1/2 hours away).
Around the destination You can also avail the complimentary on-site shuttle service that is provided from provided from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily. All condo areas (excluding Ski Trails) are on a continuous 15 - 20 minute route from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
